There was a boy named Richard. Richard enjoyed on-line gaming as a hobby and spent some of his time a day playing online games. One day he came across google advertising and was attracted by many adverts claiming he could make lots of money and be able to have some extra pocket money through making money online. Now, Richard was only a ten year old and the thought of having extra pocket money, to him, was amazing. Richard decided to quit on-line gaming for a while and focus on making some extra pocket money. Richard concentrated so much about advertising on-line that he became very money-motivated and ambitious. Soon, Richard was making more pocket money than any of his friends, even if their parents gave them a large sum. For a 10 year old, Richard was seen as a genius and very clever. His previous passion for on-line gaming faded away and advertising on-line was Richard's future. Then one day, tragedy happened, and Richard's computer began to run much slower, and his internet connection wasn't working too great either. Because the internet connection was so slow, Richard couldn't get on the internet as much as he would like and so his advertising began to fall. Doom began to strike even further, and eventually Richard's internet connection stopped completely and advertising on-line became impossible. Richard was very upset, and soon he learnt that making money wasn't everything, because whilst spending all his time making money online, he forgot about his friends and didn't do the normal things ten year olds do, such as play tag and football outside. Richard became very lonely. He learnt that whilst he may have been richer than other ten year olds, he missed out on what was really important because now he had nobody to be friends with and nobody wanted to know him.Richard asked his mum and dad for advice. To cheer him up, his mum and dad took him on a family outing to the zoo where Richard began to find animals quite interesting. To try return back to normality and gain his friends again, Richard invited people from his school along to the zoo with him for another trip and using the money he had already made, paid for the majority to get in. Richard gained friendships and decided there was more to life for a ten year old, than just money.

As a website designer, I have seen various things. Many young teenagers are starting to date over the internet, I know from experience. They use Facebook, Myspace, Myyearbook, and so on, for their internet dating sources, when really those websites are supposed to be a social network. I am a teenager myself and I know internet dating just makes you feel like you are getting attention from a certain someone. I've been using Myyearbook for quite awhile now and they are starting to have VIP's which involve Buying On-line passes for it. To me, its just a desperate call for money to keep that website going.

The web design of any site I visit has to work properly. If links don’t get where you wanted to go, we’re not staying long. I think it's pretty much the same in a building site. If the store isn't clean, easy to enter, employees courteous…we aren't going to darken the doors too many times. I might go back from time to time to see if there is a change, but other than that, no I am not going to be buying anything in that store.

Today surfing on the World Wide Web Internet Security is a must have. Anyone who doesn’t use an internet security program is in for ahard time of computer trouble. My laptop is running a huge data monster for its protection program. This program came already installed and working. It is new and a very popular brand name. However,it’s hard to make it do what you want it to. There is no reason why this shouldn't be easy to setup the way I want it to run. I don’t think the program is user friendly at all. I am not sure it wasn’t built that way on purpose. After all, the less you do to it, the more it can go out and cost us more money. Eventually the computer will have more data than the program can back up. It wasn’t long after I started using it, the program starting sending me messages about buy online storage for backup. I am thinking I have already bought it, why pay for something I don’t need or want? Still I can’t find a way to stop these annoying messages. Yes, I think this internet security program is about to get the old boot.

From the Computer, we can surf the web through a network. A different kind of networking is to Surf The Web and add links from our computer to the sites we have found that were interesting. Maybe they offered a kind of yarn or thread not many users have seen. Other user’s I found who love to sew can’t find a pattern not seen since they were small. Maybe their grandmother had it and they want to find it again. (For whatever reason it’s missing now) There are all sorts of reasons why user get on their computer and work together and start Networking. We formed a networking ringof websites that are all about sewing. The links from one web page to another all form a kind of web. All of these websites are unique in their web design. We have found that these are usefulwhen linked one to another for trafficking to our sites. These web pages we find and link are very helpful to each other. The different kinds of material and patterns we’re looking for are found on different sites, therefore we linked them. Not everyone likes to just knit or quilt. Others may like to only crochet. Now we can find each other’s websites and form a kind of network for the sewing hobbyist. This help is from each other for each other. I’ve found vintage pattern books, some as old as the 50’s and earlier. Pam and I have found and added some doilies to her collection we found from a friend through our network. How does it work? Surfing the web with search engines or links from other Internet users on the network we can share data we’ve found. Users save the link and send links to interesting websites, into the network. The information is then entered on the website for linking to and searching that site for information to the entire network. This is a simple and easy way to share information. This is done every day in many different kinds of fields of data. It’s useful and helpful to all. One web page is linked to another and so on. Once you have one you can access all and surf the web in such a way as to find all the information found for and from your network.

Published Monday, 1st Jun 19:37 BST

I had some work to do on my web design for a site we use to make tournaments for card games. I needed to get several of these pages web design done for the next couple of weeks. The web design on these pages has to be set up ahead of time so they are available links on the main page. The web site manager opens his Internet Explorer pages, logs in and updates the main page only at certain times of each day. So, for the links to be available links; the web designer's pages must have the pages made and ready to access for the players by a certain time. It's also important that the web design is easy on the player's eyes so they can see the join links on the tourney pages as well as the other links they can access. The web design is important for reading the teams who have joined so they can see if they need to join a player or make a team of their own. Color on these web designs are am important key and helps the games run smoothly. If the Internet explorer pages aren't done in plenty of time, the Internet explorer will not be updated in time and the day's links will not be complete for them to access from the main page of the game site. This is a small inconvenience, but one the person who made it doesn't want to deal with on top of running a tournament. Yesterday I opened my Internet explorer and found out I had a problem with my connection. My wireless network router was ok and seemed to be lit up and running. I checked my network settings properties and made sure my wireless LAN (local area network button) was turned on on my laptop. To make sure it wasn't my laptop, I walked into the office and turned on the desktop which has a cable connection. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't in the network of the house that was the problem, before I got on the Phone with one of the tech support team members for my connection. Again the explorer page told me no connection I had the same problem with the desk-top. I had one more thing to try before I bugged a techie. Re-booting the modem is the last thing to try to fix it myself. So unplugging the modem was the last try to fix the problem myself. Our Network connection was down. The modem when I rebooted didn't light up like it was before and I had to call my Internet Service Provider for tech support after all. Once I finally got through to the computer I was hearing how I could get help through a link on their main page. I was wondering how I could possibly get there with no Connection right. How funny that is.
