Technology Through Our Eyes

After years of my life being spent as one of the highest paid web developers I have finally decided that it was time for me to retire from creating for the world wide web and start enjoying the world wide web. I had used the Internet before but usually when I was instant messaging with a colleague or researching for the idea of a new website I could create. I never really explored all the options the world wide web offers. I never knew all that i could really do on the computer, like:

instant messaging

on-line gaming

music downloads

move downloads

social networking sites (MySpace, Facebook, Twitter, etc.)

youtube

vacation planning

pre ordering movie tickets

and Google

I really didn't even understand the purpose of on-line gaming. I mean what made on-line gaming different from play stations and x box. I think it may have had something to do with getting to play with people all over the world. I started using the on-line gaming and even befriended some of the people I played against. One minute i could be waiting for a song to download and the next I am busy instant messaging with someone from Tokyo.

Seeing as how my job made me alot of money I was easily able to afford the best and most updated technologies that are available. I have the fastest internet and have just recently purchased the new touch screen computer. I even have a laptop that I use when traveling or on the road. I've been making plans with people I've met with through the web to meet in person. Not like dates or anything but just a meeting so we can finally see each other and get to know one another better. I am really excited.

I've joined an online dating site called EHarmony and am proud to say that as of February 18, 2008 i have been happily dating a sweet and funny man who I am convinced I have fallen in love with. He uses the internet as much as I do. In fact he's a computer programmer.
