How many of you know what a desktop computer is? Interesting question to ask, isn’t it? Well, a desktop computer is basically one that sits on your desk, but it can be moved to a table or another table. There are just not that easy to move. A lot of desktop computers have the screen, modem, and a tower. That is why a lot of people prefer owning a laptop. Actually cost wise, they are about the same price.

I know my Mother used to work for a company that did advertising on-line. Now some times you can get some great buys searching sites like the one advertising on-line. I use a search engine to look up a lot of things that I am interested in. My favorite search engine is google, but you can use like yahoo, or even msn. There are all kinds of a search engine. You just have to look for them.

I know I used a search engine once to find out how to do a web site design. There were so many choices when searching for that, it was hard to decide which one. When you stop to think about it, there is a lot of things you can do with a computer. Some computers can almost type for you. I do know my desktop has a word speller on it, so if I am typing a paper or typing anything, it will automatically correct the word for me. Now if you want to double check your spelling, just use your search engine and type in dictionary. If you want to know a definition of a word, just type in definition of design or what ever word you want to look up.

If you are wanting to do a web site design just use your search engine and type inweb site design. You can even do it with advertising on-line. Just for the record, type in search engine, and see what you come up with. All very interesting to look into. You do learn a lot of different thingsthat maybe helpful if you are ever looking for a job in the computer field.
