Technology Through Our Eyes

This story starts off with a young teenage girl named Alessandra who is usually quiet and can be found always reading a paperback novel. One day, Alessandra had to submit a project for her I.T class and it's topic was the Internet and the topic she chose was to submit a website made by herself to her teacher. Having no knowledge of web site design, Alessandra spent most of the week researching online for tutorials about the basics of HTML and tables. She came up with a pretty good site for a beginner and was graded a B+ for her project. Even after her project was done, Alessandra found herself still working on her website, adding a little bit of new content everyday and making necessary tweaks.

After a while, She also developed a new interest in the same field which was networking. She loved being able to understand about computer systems and devices. networking was a pretty frustrating thing to learn but for her she enjoys the challenge.

When her website was gaining more and more visitors, she decided to add much more things to it that will please the visitors but due to her poor Internet connection she wasn't able to get things done in time so after making a deal with her parents she's finally gotten them to agree to apply for a much more faster broadband provider as the broadband provider they currently had was very slow especially when she was uploading content into her web sites. She's already tried to do some networking on their old broadband provider but what they really need was a new and faster one.

After a few years, Alessandra's hobby became a talent she never expected she would have and it all started because of the project she had before in school. Now she was a very talented web designer, and was getting in clients from many parts of the world. Alessandra never dreamed of becoming a web designer but now she's thought of it, she's loving what she does because it's something she enjoys and is becoming very successful and even better with each passing day.

This is based on a true story, a friend of mine who self-taught herself to become the successful web designer she is today.
