Technology Through Our Eyes

Yesterday was the 6th anniversary of my journey in the on-line world. I started my career as a marketing executive after completion of my graduation. I used to sell computer peripherals, accessories and software. It was hard time for me to go around every place and try to convince people to buy these computer related products. After working for some time I thought I should look for a job where I can sit and work. I got many job offers however I wanted to be associated with the on-line world. I firmly believed at that time that world wide web will take over everything in future.

I joined in a computer training institute and started learning programming languages and web software development. After completion of the course I wanted to join a company which deals with on-line web software development. However one of my friends sent me an email saying that he has started a web software development company and wanted me to be his partner. Initially I was reluctant to join in that venture. However he started sending me email after email explaining the objectives of his venture. So I decided later to go ahead and join hands with him. That was my first step into the World Wide Web.

The first project we got was to develop on-line software for a firm which deals with Bio chemicals. Initially we had a tough time understanding their requirement as they were not sure what they wanted. It took us 15 days to complete the project and host it on the world wide web. Our first project became a success. I felt very happy when the site was hosted on the web.

Later we started a web hosting company and hosted lot of web sites. We left software development and shifted our theme to on-line advertising. I design web sites and my friend does the on-line advertising. We paste ads on our sites and earn income from them. Google AdSense is one such program which gave us a lot of revenue. It took 6 months to popularize our site and after that we did not look back.

World wide web is always my favorite as it has given numerous opportunities to me to earn money as it did for many more.
