Technology Through Our Eyes

I am studying web development in a university. I am also a web programmer through a freelance program website. When I have time, I will usually go to a coffee shop that provides wifi connection to study or do my freelance work. One day, when I was working in the coffee shop, a man spoke to me. “I have been looking at your work for a long time, I am greatly appreciated of your skills”, he said. He told me that he was a graphic designer, and he want to develop a program to sell his own product online. For this reason, he had been looking for a good programmer to help him.

I did not really trust what he said at the beginning. But after he showed me his productions, demonstrated his talent, gave me his plan and a draft of a website, I knew that he is serious. So I accepted the offer. He provided graphical materials, and my work was to integrate all of them together with program code. We were working very well in the whole process. But he thought that I worked not fast enough, he realized that I was a student, and I could not always got internet access, therefore he provided an everywhere USB wifi connection to me. It helped me worked faster while I was not at home or coffee shop.

After struggling for a few weeks, everything was ready, and his website was published on the internet. He was very happy to have his personal design website, and he also invited me to do his programmer. I was thinking of that for a long time. Finally, I decided to refuse his invitation because I wanted to concentrate on my education. He agreed what I said, but he said he will wait until I finish my education.

I am now the consultant of his website.My job is to do the maintenance of website. When he has new designs, he will let me put them up on his website. And he also let me keep the USB wifi so that I can work and update the website everywhere. He has new job almost every day. It seems that his business will expend very soon.
